Step1 Organization

1. T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m Miss Time. Look! T-I-M-E. Time. Look here! I have two time rockets for you. ( time rocket)It’s a red time rocker. You are Team read. And it’s a yellow rocket for you. You are Team yellow. They can take you to your favorite English class. Come on !

2. T: Good job! Now what time is it ? It’s ---. It’s time for English class. Let’s begin!

Step2 准备活动:

1.     First, let’s sing an English song. “What time is it?” Clap your hands. Let’s sing together.

2.     Well done!

Step3梳理再现

1.     Revise the word “clock”, “o’clock” and “ten numbers”

  Revise the word “clock”

T: I’ll give you magical gift. () Look here! What’s this? Can you spell the word “clock”? Please show me your fingers. Let’s spell together!

  Revise the word “O’clock”

T: The clock can tell us the time .We can ask like this “What time is it? Let’s write together. Now, look carefully. Ask: What time is it? Ss answer together. It’s one o’clock. Write together.

③Revise “ten numbers”

 Now “What time is it?” Ss answer one by one and revise “ten numbers”. Let Ss spell the numbers and write the words on the black board.

2.     Revise非整点时间

  老师呈现四个有代表性的非整点时间,Ask: What time is it? Let Ss answer one by one.

  Let Ss think it over. What’s the difference? Ss can speak in Chinese.

  老师归纳总结: 整点的表达习惯上带,有时也可省去,直接说数字。另一种是几分几点的表达,时、分要分开写,先说时再说分。

3.     巩固句型It’s time for---. And It’s time to---.复习与时间有关的日常活动。

  五个课程名称

TWhat time is it? It’s 8:00.It’s time for____. Who can spell “English”. What can we do in our English class? Read and write.

  Please say togetherTime for English . Read and write.”

Revise the other words with the same ways.

  一日三餐名称与活动融合,让学生在运用中辨别It’s time to ----.

A.   T does the actions and Ss say the phrases.

B.    It’s 6:30.It’s time forget up. Right or wrong? 师板书It’s time to get up.

C.   It’s 6:50. It’s time for breakfast.

D.   It’s 7:10.It’s time to go to school

E.    It’s 12:00.It’s time for lunch.

F.    It’s 4:35.It’s time to go home.

G.   It’s 6:00. It’s time for dinner.

H.   It’s 9:00. It’s time to go to bed.

  Think it over. What’s the difference? Discuss in your group.

Step4交际应用

1.     Let Ss take out their own paper clock. First draw the time. Then write the sentence. E.g. It’s 8:00.It’s time for English class. After writing, please talk out your clock with your partner.

2.     Show several clock and talk about their time.

3.     Check each other.  If you are right. Please give you self-confidence.
